I recently completed three paintings for the California Rice Commission (CRC) and the third and largest one was of Sandhill Cranes dancing which I titled "Elegance". The best part of creating these art works was visiting rice farms along the Sacramento Valley. One particular farm I really enjoyed visiting was Montna Farms just south of Yuba City. The vast openness of their fields was really peaceful so it was very easy to be inspired to paint. The design on the left was inspired from that visit.
