
One of the first large birds I ever painted was a sandhill crane. They are majestic, easy to draw (just great models!), and their calls remind people of our connection to nature. When I read that Tennessee is considering hunting these birds as part of their wildlife management, I was really disturbed. I wrote the state's wildlife resource commission and I hope others will too:
