Ferruginous hawk

The Central Valley is always a great place for hawk watching during winter. One of the larger hawks that visit the valley is the ferruginous hawk, a hawk that gets its name from its iron-rust coloration (Latin ferrgin).  This one's titled "Chianti's hawk", watercolor 10"x14".
